We are your hosts for the evening if you decide to join us for one of our house concerts. 

 

We would love to meet you at a show soon.After living in the suburbs of Birmingham for most of our lives, we moved into the southside of downtown Birmingham in the summer of 2013. We moved into this beautiful 1932 home in January of 2014 and soon realized that it would make a great space for house concerts. After some brainstorming for a name and speaking with a few friends to organize the first show, The Common House was up and running and has been growing ever since. We have since moved into a new space and have continued the shows.

Our Space...​

 

House concerts have been around for a long time. They are a very unique way to enjoy the music of a band or artist you enjoy. They are different several ways. Unlike large venues, there is no green room. The artists are at your disposal before and after the concert. Our venue is unplugged with very few exceptions so you are hearing these artists in the raw so to speak. Our shows are all BYOB for those 21+ so you don't have to worry about not having that specialty craft beer you love. We also provide free coffee and tea (when we can afford it).

 

We have gotten a lot of great feedback about our space from people and artists who have joined us for shows. We hope you will come see for your self.
